4. The Reverse Beartrap (Multiple Saw Films)
When it comes to the Mount Rushmore of Saw traps, you'd be remiss not to place the iconic reverse bear trap on it. It's an integral part of the series and acted as an incredible tease throughout, as you never saw it go off until the final movie.
Bobby Degan wasn't the only person in trouble during Saw 3D, as Jill Tuck - the ex-wife of John Kramer - also found herself in the deep end after informing the authorities on Mark Hoffman's work as the new Jigsaw killer. This culminated in him capturing her and placing her into the trap that viewers had seen countless times but had never taken a life.
The instrument itself was designed to rip a person's head in half, as it connected to both parts of their jaw, and after a timer ran down would snap open. We saw it first in Amanda Young's game as she managed to escape it by tearing a key out of her heavily sedated cellmate's stomach. The next was when Jill placed Hoffman into the trap, and he managed to get out of it but took out a chunk of his cheek. Then, we finally saw it go off as it ripped poor Jill's face in half.
It was a horrifying way to see Jill go out, but no one can say they didn't enjoy finally seeing this gruesome mechanism pay off.
