8. Pepper Potts
Pepper Potts has been by Tony Stark's side ever since the very beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. No character can claim to have a longer tenure than her as she got in on the ground floor, yet fans have struggled to truly take to her.
She started off as Tony's personal assistant, before eventually becoming his girlfriend, his fiancé, his wife, and the mother of his child. However, part of the problem is that she has had very little character development outside of being Tony's partner.
She did pick up some superpowers in Iron Man 3 when she was an unwilling participant in Killian Aldrich's Extremis experiments, but even then fans weren't particularly happy that she delivered the final blow to the villain. It felt a little unearned. Then, there is the fact that this power was seemingly forgotten about in Endgame as she took to the battlefield in the Rescue armour rather than fighting with her own overpowered Extremis abilities.
It also didn't particularly go down well that Gwyneth Paltrow straight up forgot that she was in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and the fact that Sebastian Stan has had to introduce himself to her three times despite co-starring in both Infinity War and Endgame with her.
