8. Spider-Man 3 (2007)
Like the X-Men trilogy, Sam Raimi's Spider-Man series kicks off with two of the most faithful comic book adaptations put to film, and like the X-Men trilogy, the third instalment fails on almost every level.
Spider-Man 3 is at least three movies in one. Venom is just sort of thrown in, and Green Goblin is also there. Sandman does his best trying to give the film a decent antagonist, but in the end, the three villains cancel each other out, and the film has to change Peter Parker's entire backstory just to get that far.
What we're left with is a relationship crisis that should have been over two films ago, and emo Peter Parker. Excuse me while I throw up in my mouth.
