10 Most Iconic Robots In Film History

3. Data (Star Trek: Generations)

Robots - Star Trek Data Alright, alright, this guy kind of looks human. But his skin... is white... sort of... so he qualifies? What's that? Why isn't the Terminator here instead? Shut up. Data is an android who manages to join Starfleet and eventually receive posting as Lieutenant Commander on the Starship Enterprise-D. He was introduced in the first episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation and went on to feature heavily in the series as well as all three of the NextGen films (that's right, there were only three films with this cast. Generations, First Contact, and Insurrection. No others. None). His fame though exceeded far beyond TV and movies. Today, Data is considered by robotic engineers to be the face of their public relations, and he's been inducted into the Robot Hall of Fame, which inducts both real and fictional robots. It's pretty cool, check it out sometime.
