10 Most Improved MCU Characters
1. Thor
Kevin Feige once said that if he could change anything about the MCU he’s helped shape and create, it would be Thor’s eyebrows in the first movie. To help sell his image as divine and godlike, the brows were dyed blonde, and left his face looking uncanny and unexpressive.
That’s certainly not the only flaw Thor had in the early days though. For a movie about a magical, thunder powered man from the sky who flew with a special hammer and used what looked like Mario Kart’s Rainbow Road to teleport, it took itself awfully seriously. Taika Waititi rebooted the franchise with some off the wall humour in Ragnarok, and thankfully the Russo’s carried on this entertaining approach in Infinity War.
He’s come along way since the early days. He had a few moments where he shone - Hemsworth’s personality leaking through in the ‘he’s adopted’ line from Avengers - but ultimately he was pretty stale. It didn’t help that love interest Natalie Portman looked like she’d rather be anywhere else, either.
Ragnarok’s injection of humour has certainly helped Chris Hemsworth live up to his potential, and while it may be an overstatement to say it saved the character, it certainly earned him this spot as the MCU’s most improved character.
