10 Most INAPPROPRIATE Scenes In Kids Movies

1. Chel And Tulio's Special "Kiss" - The Road To El Dorado (2000)

Lion King - Inappropriate
DreamWorks Pictures

The Road To El Dorado is a strong contender for the most underrated children's film of all time. An incredible soundtrack thanks to Elton John and Hans Zimmer, impeccable voice acting from Kenneth Branagh and Kevin Kline, and gorgeous 2D animation with authentic indigenous Amercan architectural details? What's not to like?

Unfortunately, The Road To El Dorado had to wait quite a while before it'd receive the positive recognition it deserved. It was a box office bomb, and this quirky comedy only survived as a cult classic for quite the niche audience. The stars eventually aligned, though, and it saw a resurgence in popularity thanks to its surprising memeability. (Both? Both is good.)

Maybe it's because the studio was too focused on other projects like The Prince of Egypt to take much notice of what went into El Dorado, or maybe it was as a result of leftovers of previous scripts which initially was intended to be a bit more PG-13 than the final result... but this film is a bit risque.

That's not just a reference to the womanising and gambling from the opening scenes, nor even the rather blunt depictions of the Spanish colonisation of South America.

No, the offending scenes comes where Chel and Tulio are clearly up to something. As a pure, innocent child, one could easily think they're just smoochin' on the floor. But then, how would Tulio be making vocal sounds? And why is Chel that much further down than Tulio? It's almost like her head was at like, crotch lev... oh.

No wonder Altivo was so aghast.
