10 Most Inconsistent Actors Working Today

4. Adam Sandler

There's a good chance that Adam Sandler would make the cut for a lot of "Bad Actor" lists, and this would not be without merit.

After an eye watering tirade of distinctly un-funny comedies like "Pixels," "The Ridiculous Six," and "Blended" it was the opinion of many that Sandler had had his day, and it was time for him to politely and quietly f**k off.

But people forget just how believable of an actor Adam Sandler was. While he may not have spouted Shakespeare or recited depressing monologues about the nature of the Human condition, Sandler was (and is) very, very good at playing the bumbling everyman, seen in his old classics: "Happy Gilmore," and "Billy Madison."

On top of that, while his scripts leave something to be desired, when he works with an outsider - and not his loyal band of Kevin James stand-ins - he's not just good, he's great.

Take "Punch Drunk Love" or "Uncut Gems" for instance. Written and directed by the Safdie Brothers, Sandler's portrayal of a sleazy pawnbroker has already been widely praised, and it shows that even after all these years he still has acting chops.

Just don't watch anything of his if he's in drag. You know the film. And Christ alive, what a film that was.
