10 Most Insane Cameos In Recent Movies
4. Tim Key - Mickey 17
Matt Lucas isn't the only beloved British comedian who recently managed to sneak his way into a mega-budget genre film from an auteur filmmaker.
After the Best Picture-winning success of Bong Joon Ho's Parasite, of course his next film, sci-fi black comedy Mickey 17, was going to rope in a bevy of A-list talent, including Robert Pattinson, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo.
And yet, did anyone have it on their bingo card that cult Brit comedian Tim Key would show up?
Key, who has been a fixture on UK TV as a poet and comedian for the better part of 20 years, appears in the film as Pigeon Man - a mysterious man who dresses up as a pigeon mascot and goofs around at the behest of the tyrannical, Donald Trump-like villain Kenneth Marshall (Mark Ruffalo).
And honestly, if you need a funny, oddball actor to play a weird court jester-type character, you can't do much better than Key.
But for anyone who's been following his career long-term, it's quite the trip to see him sharing scenes with the Hollywood elite in a Bong Joon Ho movie of all things.
