4. Being Elmo- Kevin Clash Makes A Wish Come True
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlNZo10pCts I just want to say now before I get on to the scene itself, that Being Elmo is a fantastic film, one of the best and most under appreciated films this year. If you haven't seen it then what are you waiting for? Even if you don't usually like documentaries, I can't imagine anyone not liking this film. The whole film really is just one of unbridled joy and happiness showing that if you have a dream then you should stick with it regardless of who may question you on the way. The scene I have chosen however is one in which Kevin Clash meets a girl from the Make a Wish Foundation and her family. It's truly a touching moment to see Clash bringing the little girl her final wish of meeting Elmo, whilst seeing Clash embrace the girls father afterwards is heart wrenching. The scene not only shows us how lucky we are to be healthy when there are so many people like that little girl and her family who face such a dreadful reality, through the actions of Clash it inspires us to do more for those who are less fortunate than ourselves. The inspirational message in this touching scene rivals any moment that Hollywood can produce. Apologies but I couldn't find a clip for this scene so I've included the trailer instead.
