6. Diana Prince Would Never Have Known She Was The Godkiller

Throughout the events of Wonder Woman, it wouldn’t be too unfair to say that Diana is a little naïve. She knew nothing of the human world, and though she may have been on the mark about Ares being behind the war, she targeted completely the wrong person.

That is of course to be expected, as she had never experienced the human world, but there were even parts of her own history that she was unaware of. She had been lied to all of her life by her mother with regards to Themyscira's Godkilling weapon.

It wasn’t just a random sword, it was Diana herself. This was something that she learned when battling Ares. Though the sword itself disintegrated when it came into contact with Ares, thus proving that it wasn’t fit to kill the God of War, Wonder Woman wouldn’t have figured out that she was the actual Godkiller unless the God she was there to kill told her.

There has been a common trope in movies that the villain likes to talk and gives too much information away. This was certainly the case with Ares, because if he simply hadn’t told her anything and left her questioning why the blade didn’t kill him, she would never have known she had the power to defeat him.
