7. Harley Quinn Put A Target On Her Own Back

Batman V Superman Ben Affleck
Warner Bros. Pictures

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), in spite of its ridiculous title, actually delivered on its promise. The movie told the story of Harley breaking away from the shackles of the Joker, and it was fantabulous.

Pitting her against Roman Sionis and forcing her to team up with the Birds of Prey to protect young Cassandra Cain may have been enjoyable for her, if it wasn’t for her impending gory death at the hands of Black Mask should she fail.

The whole reason the Maid of Mischief had such a big target on her back in the first place was only because of her own actions. She had wronged so many people in Gotham throughout her time with Mr. J, but was safe knowing that no one could touch her with her Puddin' around.

When her and Joker first broke up, Harley kept it a secret to keep that protection intact, but in a drunken move she blew up Ace Chemicals as a sign that they were through. Everyone got the message, and so Roman knew he could kill her without any backlash from the Joker. It was all her own fault.
