3. Batman Created The Superman He Feared

Even before the end of Batman Vs. Superman, the former did such a 180 on his Superman stance it was jarring and more than a little bit ridiculous. We've just touched on how quickly the Dark Knight referred to himself as Clark Kent’s friend after trying to kill him, but things just kept going into Justice League.

On a gut feeling, Bruce Wayne began recruiting for his new team of superheroes, but when they began battling Steppenwolf and his parademons, he realised they needed reinforcements. He decided to bring Superman back from the dead. This in itself is ironic enough, since he was the one who wanted him dead in the first place.

When Superman was alive, Bruce wanted to treat even a1% chance of him turning evil as an absolute certainty, but when Kal was dead, the Dark Knight wanted to bring him back to life if there was even a fraction of a chance it would work.

The real irony was that in bringing Kal-El back from the dead - after he potentially lost his soul, as Arthur Curry put it - Bruce created the dark version of Superman he had feared from the start. If it wasn’t for Lois Lane, Superman would have cut through the Justice League like a hot knife through butter, and then who knows what.

All thanks to the man who tried to stop such a thing in the first place.
