10 Most Irritating Characters In Comic Book Movie History

4. The Spleen (Paul Rubens) - Mystery Men

spleen I will be the first to admit this one might be unfair. The Spleen was supposed to be annoying which is very clear from the moment he shows up in Mystery Men. Still, even in a movie that is about characters with lame powers coming together to defeat the big bad guy the Spleen just felt awkward. Mr. Furious had a lame power as well but Ben Stiller found a way to make it work as did everyone in the movie. Good as Paul Reubens is though the Spleen did not work on any level besides annoyance. Again, that was purposeful so it is hard to fault anyone for that. Thing is that in some ways the character works. He is that character you discount because he is somewhat lame which was the point of Mystery Men. End of the day, there are some characters that are losers even among the league of losers and the Spleen fits that category quite well.
