10 Most Jaw-Dropping Shots In MCU History
8. Captain America: Civil War - Tony Alone
Captain America: Civil War doesn't really get enough credit for its dramatic heft. While everyone was freaking out about the airport fight scene as well as the arrival of Spider-Man, the internal conflict and disbandment of the Avengers could really bring the more jaded fans of the franchise to tears. The actions might speak louder than words, but the real pain comes in the aftermath of all the fighting.
In the final fight of the movie, Tony Stark takes it upon himself to try to kill Bucky Barnes, only to have Captain America and Bucky hand his ass to him. Though Tony did end up putting up a decent fight to both of them, the savage assault that Steve Rogers lays on him is almost too much to watch, as he nearly kills his best friend with his own shield.
After Steve leaves with Bucky in tow, he drops the shield at his feet, leaving Tony to sit cold and alone in the snow. The important story arc may be about the shield itself, but the fact that Tony did everything he could to stand up for his beliefs only to have it thrown right back in his face speaks more than any punch could have.
There was a lot of amazing choreography to go around, but this lone shot of Iron Man bruised and beaten by his ally is the perfect example of a team divided.
