10 Most Memorable Movie New Year's Eves

8. Entrapment (1999)

NYE - Entrapment Following her theft of a Rembrandt and the subsequent re-theft of the piece by master thief "Mac" MacDougal (Sean Connery), "Gin" Baker (Catherine Zeta-Jones) convinces her insurance agency employer to allow her to work her way into an undercover partnership with Mac. Mac and Gin team up and concoct an elaborate plan to steal billions on New Year's Eve, 1999. Most Memorable NYE Scene I have a hard time caring what the most memorable NYE scene is in this film. After watching Catherine Zeta-Jones wriggling around on the floor with her rear end stuck high in the air, everything else in this movie faded away. Seriously, who can forget that shapely back side thrusting heavenward as she practices avoiding the sensor beams? I remember almost nothing else about this movie, but that moment is burned into my mind for all eternity. Not even death will remove that scene from my mind. If you dig up my mummified body in the year 3026 and plug me into a machine that transfers my surviving memories into a computer system, this moment will immediately pop up on your viewing terminal and be stuck in an endless playback loop. But, for the sake of journalism (yeah, right) I suppose I have to pick a favorite moment. I guess I'll go with the actual high-tech heist scenes and the death-defying trip down to the ground floor of the Petronas Towers. Now...back to my playback loop.
