10 Most Misleading Trailers Of 2015

10. Anyone Rarely Gets "Out Of Water"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGjbpO1toTc The Film: SpongeBob Squarepants: Sponge Out Of Water 3D What It Promised: A hilarious three-dimensional, live-action superhero saga featuring your favourite sea sponge and starfish. What It Actually Was: What you see is what you get with SpongeBob Squarepants right? Well yes, for the most part. While Sponge Out Of Water 3D provided audiences with all the frantic, zany humour and beguiling postmodernist glee they expect from the Nickelodeon cult icon, it also sold them down to the very depths of Bikini Bottom. The predominant emphasis of this trailer, and indeed the entirety of the film's promotional campaign (posters, TV spots, merchandise) is that the film is a 3D computer-animated and live-action affair - heck, it even notes taking place 'out of water' in the title, but this is almost a stone-cold lie. Across the film's 92 minute duration, only about 15 minutes take place on land and in this visual format. That isn't to say the film isn't both entertaining and beautiful across both art styles, but it's a bit rich marketing the film in this manner.
