Yet another celebrity with horrendous, trainwreck drug and alcohol problems dating back years, the comedian Andy Dick raises the bar for douchery to almost untouchable levels, incorporating sexual molestation and public indecency into his crappy repertoire.

These offences stretch back to 2004, when he was arrested for mooning the patrons of a McDonalds. This pattern has repeated itself over the years like a post-burrito digestive system. Dick gets wasted, takes off his trousers and tries to grapple with someone in an amorous fashion: male or female, he doesn’t discriminate in his sexual assaults.

And then there’s the persistent rumour that Dick was responsible for giving cocaine to Brynn Hartman, the recovering addict wife of beloved comic actor Phil Hartman, which in turn may allegedly have caused her to go off the reservation and kill Hartman and then herself in May 1998. Hartman’s friend Jon Lovitz certainly thinks Dick is to blame. Ten years after the murder-suicide, Dick drunkenly bumped into him at a restaurant and slurred, “I put the Phil Hartman hex on you. You’re the next one to die.” 

Encountering him again a few months later, Lovitz beat Dick like he owed him money. The word is that Lovitz avoided being charged for it because no one could be found who blamed him in the slightest.
