Despite the fact slashers are a defining sub-genre of horror, the kills themselves can be surprisingly unimaginative. Most slasher villains are armed with stabbing weapon like a knife or a machete. As Jim runs through the woods, Crowley catches up with him, and buries his hatchet into Jim's shoulder. Although this sort of wound would cause Jim to die in a matter of minutes, Crowley isn't finished. Instead of letting him bleed out, Victor hacks into Jim's shoulder over and over, carving his way through his victim's body. Even after Crowley has hacked all the way through Jim's torso, you can see the poor fella is still alive, screaming to the heavens for mercy.

Crowley then rips Jim's body in two, finally putting him out of his misery.
