7. Robin's Vandalised Suit - Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

Despite once again opting to not unleash a live-action Robin, in the wake of Christopher Nolan deciding to stay clear of The Boy Wonder during his Dark Knight trilogy, Zack Snyder did at least offer a small nod towards Batman's legendary sidekick over the course of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice; albeit a rather depressing one.

During a moment that sees Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne wandering around his lair, a glass case with Dick Grayson's suit is spotted being displayed. And a closer shot - that would soon be frozen on countless occasions over the years - soon highlighted how and why Robin wasn't a major player in the DCEU.

The vandalised suit comes equipped with the spray painted words of "HAHAHA, Jokes on you, Batman", a clear reference to the fact that The Joker was responsible for Grayson's demise. And a closer look at the costume in all its paused glory also reveals a few details behind how The Clown Prince of Crime went about disposing of Batman's adopted son.

As confirmed by costume designer Douglas J Stewart, Grayson was killed by Joker and "then set ablaze", with this being reflected in the overall charred look of Robin's suit that can be seen in the finished picture.
