Four arms, four times the trouble. The cyborg leader of the droid army was one of the few non-Force users who could wield a lightsaber (or four) with devastating results. Although his fighting style might not be the fairest, Grievous was responsible for the deaths of several Jedi during the Clone Wars, and went head-to-head with many more, including his nemesis Obi Wan Kenobi. A skilled leader and tactician, he was present for many major battles, even if he was often frustrated by the B1 Battle Droids under his command.

In his earlier life, Grievous was a fierce Kaleesh warrior. He underwent several procedures to replace his natural body with cybernetic parts, just leaving his eyes and a few essential organs intact. All the 'improvements' were designed to make Grievous the ultimate killing machine, and they were at least partially successful, although the mechanical implants irritated his natural lungs, giving him his signature cough.
