3. Shoot Her - Jurassic Park

Is there any better movie you can watch anywhere, anytime than Jurassic Park? Created almost entirely with practical effects and a mainstay of Steven Spielberg's filmography, the film that goes full Dino Crisis of course has an excellent introduction to all things jurassic, building up tension by a certain park arrival kicking up a stink when the employees attempt to get her in a cage.

Seeing just the dinosaur's eye as she swiftly murders the captors surrounding her cage, what is first sold as a children's adventure film soon becomes a horror story, with flashing lights, screaming men, and a captive ranger being chucked around like a possessed ragdoll to screams of 'Shoot her!'.

We know straight away that despite the wonder and scientific achievement touted throughout the rest of the movie that these people don't have a real grasp on the creatures they've created, setting a precedent for a slow tension burn after this action-packed introduction to the island's latest residents.

Dinosaurs are dangerous, surprisingly, and Jurassic Park doesn't let us settle for a moment with feeling comfortable at their capture. Perhaps best of all, we never actually see her in full glory until later in the movie, making the anticipation almost unbearable after seeing what she can do.
