10 Most Rewatchable Movies Of The '90s

7. Rushmore (1998)

Pulp Fiction Mia Wallace Uma Thurman
Buena Vista Pictures

Rushmore was a bold statement of intent from director Wes Anderson, a movie which showed the world exactly what kind of filmmaker he was going to be.

His second feature-length effort was a coming-of-age comedy-drama about an eccentric teenager, his friendship with a disillusioned industrialist and their mutual love for one of his school teachers.

Bittersweet and quirky in equal measure, Rushmore has the rare ability to make you feel immeasurably better than you did before you watched it... a feat it somehow manages to repeat every time.

Strong performances from Anderson mainstays Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman are the heart of the production and its soul is a beautifully fitting soundtrack which includes evokative classics from Cat Stevens and The Faces.
