10 Most Rewatchable Movies Of The '90s

6. The Big Lewbowski (1998)

Pulp Fiction Mia Wallace Uma Thurman
Gramercy Pictures

With The Big Lebowski, Jeff Bridges found a role so well suited to him that it became difficult to ever imagine him in non-Dude mode.

This 1998 effort from the Coen Brothers stands alone, occupying territory somewhere between modern-day Western and Raymond Chandler novel.

The Dude's madcap world is one we cannot resist revisiting from time to time, if only for 117 minutes of joyous escapism.

Plot is bound, gagged and shoved into the boot of the vehicle as The Big Lebowski delivers one zany vignette after another, backed by an effective soundtrack which offsets Carter Burwell's original score against classic pop numbers.

It's a powerful combination that bowls us over every time.
