One of the best ways to describe Killer Klowns From Outer Space is as the perfect drive-in cinema Halloween movie. You'll be treated to some proper scares, you'll laugh, and you'll wince behind your hands at the gory practical effects. What more could you ask for?

There's not much to the plot other than what the name says, but that's not a bad thing. It's a typical 1980s fright fest with a carnival twist. Aliens in the form of clowns crash-land on Earth in their big-top spaceship and begin killing and capturing humans until their hearts' content. Killer Klowns is at the top of the food chain when it comes to horror B-movies.

Like Stitches, Killer Klowns uses the clown gag to full effect, featuring popcorn bazookas, living balloon animals, corpses used as ventriloquist dummies, and so much more. It's grisly, but the comedy also doesn't feel forced, and it doesn't diminish the horror aspect either. It's well-crafted and a go-to creature feature for Halloween.
