10 Most Ridiculous Horror Adversaries In Movie History

8. Ice Cream - The Stuff (1985)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uE6Z1nBqLwo "No, don't eat that! I saw it moving in the refrigerator!" To give the movie credit some where it's due, The Stuff was actually envisioned as a kind of parody of "inanimate object" horror movies, though you'd be pressed to find any traces of that in the final movie. The ridiculous title, then, is likely the only clue that might've helped movie-goers to understand that what they were watching was supposed to be satirical. The "stuff" of the title is, in fact, a delicious, ice cream-like substance that spews out of the ground, both sweet and addictive in nature, and seemingly endless in supply. America becomes obsessed with the stuff, of course, because it contains no calories and tastes like a dream. But everything is not as it seems, because the stuff is (ahem) the stuff of pure evil - consuming it eventually turns your ordinary citizen into a mindless zombie freak. So, yes, the movie was presumably made as a stab at consumerism at its most excessive, but it's really just a B-movie about a white substance that kills people, and not a very good one at that. Still, it's not every day that a movie gives you ice cream as a horror adversary, is it?
