10 Most Ridiculous Stunts In Fast And The Furious Movies

6. Ambulance Chaser (Furious 7)

The Rock has the gravitas to instantly amp up any movie. And that’s exactly what he did with this franchise as the perpetually oiled and chiselled DEA agent Hobbs.

Despite being side-lined with a broken arm for much of the film after being attacked by Jason Statham’s baddie Shaw, Hobbs comes into his own at the film’s climax. Because despite wielding a massive plaster cast, he simply pumps his bicep to bust out of it when he realises the team are in danger.

Shaw and his goons have the team in their sights. By dispatching a gang of Reaper drones, they’ve targeted Letty and master hacker Ramsey in their car, with a missile locked on as they enter a tunnel. It should be all over once the trigger is pulled.

Of course, it’s not over. The Rock comes slamming through the barrier above as the tunnel ends in an ambulance, taking out the drone with his own vehicle with perfect precision. He emerges from his own wreckage, muscles glistening, with nary a scratch.

“Where’s the cavalry?” asks an impressed Letty.

“Woman, I AM the cavalry,” retorts Hobbs, without one shred of irony.

Many things make this a stunt worthy of this list - the pre-cognitive skills of Agent Hobbs, who somehow knew Letty’s exact location, as well as knowing when to intercept the missile tailing them.

And yes, let’s not forget if Hobbs had busted over the tunnel a fraction of a second earlier, he’d have ended up crushing poor Letty and Ramsey in their own. But The Rock doesn't, because The Rock.
