10 Most Ridiculous Uses Of CGI In Movie History

1. Edward And Bella's CGI Offspring - The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1

When it comes to most things in life, the simplest solution is often the best solution.

Sadly, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (2011) director Bill Condon felt differently when it came to one specific aspect of the supernatural romantic fantasy flick. Condon decided that just casting a bog-standard baby as Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Bella Swan's (Kristen Stewart) newborn child Renesmee and leaving it at that was too easy. He wanted to create a believable half-human/half-vampire CGI hybrid instead.

Sure enough, he ultimately tried to do just that and the questionable results went down in history as one of the most disturbing digitally made-up creations you're ever likely to witness on a television screen.

The director has since admitted that this failed computer generated young being was 'a disaster', but he also confessed that the mistakes made when trying to create this unique infant helped him figure out what worked and what definitely did not in the projects he worked on after Breaking Dawn, such as Disney's live action remake of Beauty and the Beast (2017).

You live and you learn, I guess, but that still won't get the image of this creepy looking offspring out of our heads any time soon.
