4. "Who's With Me?" - Army of Darkness

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leKDfxkBa0c Montage Type: Mass Training Sam Raimi's Army of Darkness set out to find the answer to that age old question: "What happens if a normal man is sent back through time to medieval England and is forced to battle skeletons and stuff?" Given that he was making a movie which such poignant tendencies, then, Raimi opted to imbue his movie with one hell of a badass montage, which sees reluctant hero Ash Williams teaching medieval knights how to be better at fighting. If the sentence that I just wrote doesn't excite you, then I'm afraid we can no longer be friends. Anyway, there's no cheesy song to accompany this one, just great musical score to get us rallied up before the movie's insane final battle against the titular Army of Darkness. The weirdest thing about this montage, though, is that the previous Evil Dead movies never gave Ash the time to learn the amazing skills that he's teaching the knights in this scene. How does he know how to fight? It makes no Goddamn sense at all, and that's precisely why it's so beautiful to watch. If you want to die having lived life to its fullest, check this one out. Note: This montage is unavailable to watch anywhere online in its original version, as far as I know. The only clip I could find is one that dubs the original audio over with "Push It To The Limit" from Scarface. I don't know who took the time out of their day to make that happen.
