10 Most Satisfying Harry Potter Movie Moments
4. Neville Kills Nagini And Harry Kills Voldemort (The Deathly Hallows Part 2)
The Battle of Hogwarts is the most epic part of Harry’s journey. Lives are lost, Horcruxes are destroyed, and the eight-film saga comes to a close.
At the end of the battle, Harry faces Voldemort while Nagini (Voldemort’s snake) hunts down Ron and Hermione. Seconds before the snake is about to strike, Neville intervenes and slices it to pieces with Gryffindor’s sword. With all the Horcruxes now destroyed, Harry is able to take down the Dark Lord once and for all.
It goes without saying that the defeat of Voldemort is highly satisfying. To see Harry finally overcome his arch-nemesis after all these years will always be exhilarating to watch – even if it is rather predictable.
However, Neville’s defeat of Nagini is even more satisfying. Since he first arrived at the castle, Neville has always been a bit of a buffoon who struggles to keep up with his classmates. But in the Battle of Hogwarts, he demonstrates his true nature and rounds off his character arc with the ultimate accolade: destroying one of Voldemort’s Horcruxes.
