10 Most Satisfying Horror Movie Villain Deaths
4. Xenomorph - Alien
Another prime example of how much scarier a villain is when they're very rarely seen - in fact, we'll put money on this being the best example. Also, another testament to why practical special effects trump CGI every time. With both of those things in mind, we'd like to take a quick moment to say this: screw you, Covenant, you hot, moist piece of garbage.
H. R. Giger's design for the titular Alien will always go down as one of the most horrifying creatures to ever grace the silver screen. How could something jet-black, gigantic and slimy not be absolutely terrifying. Oh, and there's the fact that it has a mini-mouth inside its regular mouth. Oh, and the fact that it procreates by latching onto someone's mouth and having its spawn burst out of their stomach. Oh, also its blood is corrosive. Just generally an absolute basket of nightmares.
There isn't a single moment in Alien where it feels as though Ripley and her crew have any hope whatsoever against the Xenomorph, and, to be fair, most of them don't. One by one they're picked of by this walking atrocity, until only Ripley is left... and then it finds its way onto the escape shuttle... and even latches on after the airlock is blown, making it all the sweeter when Ripley finally blasts it into the inky blackness. Plus, thank god the cat survived.
