2. Juno - The Descent
Juno is probably one of the most hated character's in British horror movie history, and for good reason.
Juno is another character on this list that literally caused the events of the movie to transpire. Meaning her selfish actions actually KILLED all of her friends. If that isn't selfish, I don't know what is.
From the beginning of the movie, we get to know the vapid, self-absorbed nature of the adrenaline junkie Juno. Right in the cold open, we witness her have a sexually charged exchange with her best friend's husband in front of the said best friend AND their son.
And then when we come to meet her again a year later, we get to really see how egotistical and self-absorbed she is. Dialogue tells us that Juno did little to nothing for her best friend when her husband and son died in a car crash, an immediate red flag if you've ever seen one.
Then, after the group experience a near-death experience in the cave they're exploring, the group find out that Juno, the expedition leader, had lied about taking them to a famous cave and had taken them to a previously unexplored one instead; all to impress one of the girls. This ends up being the cataclysm for the deadly events of the rest of the movie.
Oh, and remember that strange moment between her and the friend's husband? Turns out they'd been having an affair before he died. What a B...
