The Marvel Cinematic Universe has come under fire from some quarters in recent years for their near-uniform visual palate but even the franchise's most ardent critics would struggle to deny that James Gunn's first foray with his ragtag bunch of a-holes is one of the most striking entries in the series (though its sequel and Doctor Strange run it close).
