10 Most Stupid Decisions In Horror Movies

7. The Viral Fanclub - Rings

Yes, the whole premise of Rings is stupid. The internet is stupid and it brings stupid people together, but that doesn't make it any less realistic to be honest.

Rings' central group called the 'Sevens' decide to watch the supernatural tape that causes certain death, for research of course, which is why they wait the full seven days for creepy hallucinations, and pass it on to the next person for some sort of weird rush. Kind of like the high from sky diving, except you have no parachute, the sky is made of fire, and you're falling towards a paranormal demon intent on scaring you literally to death. Great, sign me up!

Why anyone would form a club to watch a cursed video tape and suffer its consequences, research led or not, remains a mystery. That this 'research' is fronted by a sketchy college professor showing it to his students makes it an even worse decision to go along with for those in his class. Just don't watch videos that condemn you to an early, painful death, it's quite simple really.
