What makes the Sinister franchise's Bughuul so twisted is, not only does he target children, but he corrupts these kiddos to the point that they end up murdering their entire family. And it's not just one child he's done this to, for this is something that Bughuul has done to numerous families over the decades.

Before he ventured into the MCU with Doctor Strange, director Scott Derrickson brilliantly cut his teeth in horror with The Exorcism of Emily Rose and the aforementioned Sinister. While Emily Rose was a twisted movie in its own right, 2012's Sinister was disturbing in a whole other way.

A pagan deity, Baghuul only exists for the reason of brutally, bloodily breaking up families, taking their souls, and crafting his own unit of young killers seemingly just for sh*ts and giggles. Clearly a spiteful sort, Mr. Boogie decided to embark on this, err, sinister scheme after having his mouth sewed shut by his brother.

Adding an extra element of eerie to Baghuul is that he doesn't particularly get his own hands dirty. Instead, this creepy figure opts to have innocent youngsters do his dirty work for him.
