8. Dakota Fanning - Push
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwBAP-ODlmY Push was an ambitious, not-terrible sci-fi outing that was trying to set itself up for a potential franchise, but the brazen manner with which it ripped of Heroes proved unsavoury with viewers, as well as some of the film's underwhelming performances, specifically Dakota Fanning as a young clairvoyant girl called Cassie, who finds herself alongside Chris Evans' telekinetic Nick as they try to escape a malevolent corporation called The Division. Now, to be fair to Dakota, there's not much she can really do with a character whom we never get to learn much about because the film's pacing and character development is so cack-handed, but her appearance here is largely an also-ran, an annoyingly vulnerable character who Chris Evans has to escort through the usual action movie steps. Fanning really stands out as poorly cast here; her character is clearly meant to be charismatic and something of a know it all, but Fanning instead comes across as incongruous and shy, making for some painful chemistry with her co-star.
