7. Tyler Perry - Alex Cross
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOkItjdm8s8 Morgan Freeman's shoes are difficult ones to fill when portraying any character he has inhabited and though even Freeman's Alex Cross films were flaming piles of garbage, at least he had some gravitas, and the films veered away from the action stuff. The latest, directed by Rob Cohen - yes, that's the guy who brought us the likes of Daylight, xXx and Stealth - takes us back to Cross' pre-FBI days, with Tyler Perry - yes, the guy best known for dressing up as a woman - taking the mantle as the most incredulous of action movie leads. The film focuses more on set-pieces than its dull mystery plot, which means we have to sit through a pudgy Perry panting his way through countless chase scenes, before unconvincingly killing a freaking ripped Matthew Fox in the final show-down. Cohen knows Perry isn't the best choice going by the strange editing to make the fighting seem more kinetic, and so one has to ask - why cast him in the first place?
