10 Most Unexpected Transformations In Zombie Movies

2. Chase - Overlord

Overlord movie
Paramount Pictures

Overlord opens with a squad of WWII paratroopers discovering a secret lab in a Nazi-controlled town. While there, one of the soldiers, Boyce, sees the Nazis using a mysterious serum to seemingly revive a corpse.

When paratrooper, Chase, is shot dead, Boyce attempts to resurrect him by injecting him with a syringe containing the same serum. To everyone's surprise, it works... at first.

Although Chase is revived, his friends become concerned when the notice the veins on his arms starting to bulge and blacken. Complaining that he's suffering from a headache, Chase then slams his skull into a wooden pillar, causing it to collapse.

While his friends try to reassure him, Chase suddenly snaps his head back so violently, the bones in his spine, ribs, and clavicle jut out of his body with inhumane ferocity. Once he becomes violent and attacks his squad, Boyce plugs him full of bullets, causing Chase to die for a second time.

As disturbing as this whole scene is, it's that one shot of Chase's distorted body that haunts you. Even if you don't remember much else about the movie, that moment isn't going to leave your memory anytime soon.
