10 Movie Bars You Should Probably Avoid On A Pub Crawl

9. The Jamaica Inn - Jamaica Inn

Jamaica Inn Alfred Hitchcock's 1939 adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's novel of the same name is proof that no matter what the decade there will always be a stigma surrounding certain types of pub. In fact the story itself is set over a hundred years previously in the 19th Century which only stands to prove this point further. Modern day drinking establishments no matter how rough are probably fine wine bars in comparison to pubs of old and the Jamaica Inn is no exception. Located in Cornwall the residents are killers and smugglers who lure boats into crashing and then ransack them, disposing of anyone who might survive the wreck. Despite being voted one of the 50 worst adaptations of all time there's no disputing that if you go for a drink here you'll be running into a whole host of unsavoury and unwelcoming locals. Might be worth having a quick half and then moving on.
