10 Movie Cameos So Well-Hidden Everybody Missed Them
4. George Lucas And Carrie Fisher (Hook)
Steven Spielberg's Hook is one of the director's weaker efforts, but it's not a total loss. Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman are fantastic as Peter Pan and Captain Hook, respectively, and John Williams - as ever - delivers the musical goods.
It also features a rather brilliant, rather sneaky cameo in its opening stages, but it's not one you'll understand the significance of unless someone points it out for you.
Early in the film, we see a couple kissing on a bridge, and they begin to float upwards after Tinkerbell sprinkles them with magic dust. As confirmed by The Wrap in a piece about Hook's 25th anniversary, this couple consists of Star Wars legends Carrie Fisher and George Lucas, who were clearly invited by their mate Spielberg to cameo in his movie (Fisher also did a bit of script polishing on the film).
Given the distance at which we're viewing this couple, there's simply no way to tell that this is Fisher and Lucas - unless you're some sort of Star Wars droid with a built-in "zoom and enhance" function. Which you aren't.
