10 Movie Cameos That Left Us All Speechless

Perhaps the only movie sequel more gloriously meta than Deadpool 2, Gremlins 2: The New Batch sees director Joe Dante indulging his every cartoonish whim in the quest to deliver a sequel about the very nature of "bigger, better" sequels.

Gremlins 2 is awash with cameos - including an hilarious one from film critic Leonard Maltin, who trashed the first film and gets mauled by Gremlins here - but nothing quite matches the fist-pumping awesomeness of Hulk Hogan's shock appearance.

After it appears that the Gremlins have invaded the projection booth where Gremlins 2 itself is playing, Dante cuts to a cinema where an usher walks up to Hogan, inexplicably watching the film in his wrestling attire, who then threatens the "Gremsters" until they start playing the film again.

For extra absurdity, Hogan even directly addresses the audience, telling them, "Sorry folks, it won't happen again."

For any kid watching this movie around the time of its release, the Hogan cameo was basically the coolest thing in the world.
