6. Crystal Lake Reside Jason Voorhees Fears Water - Freddy Vs Jason
Jason Voorhees is presented as a walking nightmare who is basically indestructible, regardless of what you throw in his way/at his face, thanks to the supernatural element to his character. What could possibly defeat him when he's already been killed once already and conquered death? But in Freddy VS Jason, Voorhees is shown to be terrified of water: while it was only in Freddy's nightmare world, Jason suddenly developed his crippling fear, presumably because the writers had ran out of ideas for how to make him defeatable. He drowned, so why not make him fear wetness? Lazy - especially since his hang-out is still Crystal Lake, and he's not exactly known for cowering on its banks... At the end of the day, the decision to make him terrified of the damp just to be susceptible to Freddy Krueger makes the character a lot less intimidating, and it's no more than a cheap shot.
