10 Movie Characters More Important Than You Think
4. Nick Delaney - The Terminator
In James Cameron's original The Terminator, there's a minor police officer character who witnesses the T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) get run over by Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn) and Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) and consequently calls it in over the radio.
However, at this moment the Terminator gets to its feet, slams the cop's head into his car and steals both his car and shotgun.
As it turns out, the cop in question is actually played by William Wisher, who helped James Cameron write additional dialogue for the film's screenplay.
But it doesn't end there. Wisher also had a cameo in Terminator 2: Judgment Day, playing the shocked tourist who snaps photos of the T-800 when he's thrown through a window at the mall by the T-1000 (Robert Patrick).
Though it isn't confirmed in the movie itself, Wisher has stated in interviews that he regards the cop and the tourist as the very same character.
And so, this explains why the tourist seems quite so shell-shocked at the T-800's presence in T2.
Beyond the obvious insanity of someone being thrown through a glass window in front of you, the guy had a physical encounter with it - or, to be precise, a different version of the same model cyborg - many years prior.
