10 Movie Characters That Got Happy Endings They Did Not Deserve
5. Mr. Incredible - Incredibles 2

Sporting a name like Mr. Incredible, there had to be at least a little air of arrogance and ego about Pixar's superhero, but in the first Incredibles movie this was at least limited. The same cannot be said about his portrayal in Incredibles 2.
After the events of the first movie, and the family's fight with the Underminer, the entire Parr family were forced back into hiding until Winston Deavour (Bob Odenkirk) wanted to bring superheroes back into society again. For this, he wanted Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) at front and centre, to be the poster child of the initiative.
Here's where Pixar decided to make Bob Parr (Craig T. Nelson) as toxic and unsupportive a husband as possible. Instead of backing his wife up, he couldn't wrap his head around why anyone would want to use her instead of him, and aggressively argued the point in front of her. Then when she told him how well her mission went, he was almost too jealous to speak.
Yes, Mr. Incredible may have been used to being number one, but surely he should have been happy to see his wife succeed, rather than focusing on himself. Yet another husband on this list who failed their wife, and yet another wife who chose to continue without ever really raising the issue.
