Of course this was going to be #1, it's what I've said I named this entire trend after. In Danny Boyle's Academy Award-winning Slumdog Millionaire, Dev Patel plays a young man seemingly fated to win the Indian version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Though he doesn't naturally excel in trivia knowledge the way a Ken Jennings does, the steps that his life took to get to that moment and to his beloved childhood crush played by Freida Pinto helped pave the way for the world's first true
slumdog millionaire. Now, I'm no expert in world economics so I don't know how much the winning prize in the quiz show from the film is actually worth. But regardless, it sure doesn't seem like enough money to buy a girl as hot as Freida Pinto. I think that's what that movie was about; it's been a while since I've seen it.
