1. Pretty Much Anybody Played By Nicolas Cage (1982-2014)
LionsgateOver the course of the last 30 years, Nicolas Cage has established himself as the undisputed king of the terrible big-screen hairdo. It doesn't matter if its his actual hair or a wig, the 'Nouveau Shamanic' Method actor has sported a remarkably consistent series of awful styles, whether it be in a big-budget blockbuster or a smaller independent project. It's impossible to single out just one of his characters haircuts as the worst, simply because there are so many to choose from; The pompadour from Peggy Sue Got Married, the untamed locks of Raising Arizona, the straggly manes of Con Air, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Season of the Witch and Drive Angry, his laughable hairpiece in Ghost Rider and the awful slicked-back style sported in Next and Bangkok Dangerous to name but a very, very small few. Such is the continued interest surrounding what happens on the actor's head that in his latest movie Joe he doesn't even wear a wig, yet still somehow manages to make a real beard look fake. When people hear about a new Nicolas Cage movie, one of their first thoughts is 'what kind of crazy hair will his character have?', with his string of ridiculous hairstyles now as much of his big-screen personality as his uniquely demented acting style.
