1. Summer Finn - 500 Days of Summer
Ahh. Summer Finn. The acme of ideal movie girlfriends. Im confident that nearly everyone who watched this film would have fallen in love with Summer for any one of a plethora of reasons. It could be for her carefree quirky charm, or for her wry sense of humour, or her impeccable taste in music. She is presented as the perfect woman in the eyes of Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), the unfortunate love-struck fool who fell head over heels for her. Zooey Deschanel plays the role of Summer with naturalistic aplomb; you get the impression that she isnt even acting. However she proves to be unattainable, the ultimate one that got away. Afraid to commit to a relationship with Tom, she regrettably has to leave him after trampling all over his heart with her lovely little feet. Though she may be idealistic but not realistic, Summer Finn tops my list of movie characters you (secretly) wish your girlfriend was like.
