Avengers: Infinity War boasted a body count unlike any superhero movie before it, and with the effects of Thanos' snap spanning the entire MCU, it was always going to be the case that there'd be a few (trillion) off-screen deaths.

The film's directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, took it upon themselves to disclose the fates of a number of Marvel characters in an interview after its premiere. Fans had previously worried that the likes of Korg, Miek, Valkyrie and others had perished alongside the likes of Bucky and Spider-Man, who all of course returned in Avengers: Endgame. There were a few other characters, however, who some didn't realise were snapped out of existence.

Speaking to The Huffington Post, the Russos mention that the likes of Betty Ross, Lady Sif and Matt Damon's Loki impersonator all perished. The first two played pivotal roles in The Incredible Hulk and Thor respectively, but have failed to appear since, with it now looking as though Thanos' snap was used to confirm the departures of stars who were never likely to return in the first place.

Conversely, the fates of Jane Foster, the Asgardians and Shuri were deemed to spoilery to mention in the interview, so surely they'll return too?
