10 Movie Directors Who Deserve Their Own Biopic

1. Judd Apatow

juddapatow If we're talking about the most influential figures of the '00s, Judd Apatow's name has to be brought up at some point. Starting with Anchorman, Apatow helped usher in a new era of hard R comedy, and throughout his career he introduced the world to some awesome actors, including Seth Rogen and Jason Segel. The real reason I'd like to see this, though, is because of Apatow's early work. Before going into movies, Judd wrote for the amazing HBO series The Larry Sanders Show, worked with Paul Feig heavily on the cult classic dramedy Freaks and Geeks, and created the short-lived Undeclared. Who wouldn't love to see an inside look at the hijinks that occurred on those sets? Another thing: When Judd was a kid, he tried to get Steve Martin's autograph at Steve's home. But, Martin wouldn't sign autographs at home. This disappointed Apatow greatly, and it caused him to write Steve Martin a threatening letter. To Apatow's surprise, Martin wrote back, apologizing. Read it here. Like this list? Which filmmakers would you like to see have their own biopics? Let us know in the comments section below.
