If there's a film series that's had every single frame scavenged for as many details as possible, it's the Star Wars franchise. From a stormtrooper bumping their head against a door in A New Hope to E.T showing up in The Phantom Menace, the series is simply bursting with a galactic size of Easter Eggs.

Due to the sheer amount of them, it would be a Herculean task for someone to spot them all. Especially this peculiar Easter Egg from 1980's The Empire Strikes Back which saw a potato being used as an asteroid in the scene where our group of heroes hurtle through an asteroid field to evade their Empire pursuers.

The story for this entry goes that George Lucas was ruthless with the special effects artists working on this scene and demanded it be re-shot numerous times to get the effects perfect. In response to Lucas criticising one of the models as looking like a potato, the team included an actual potato in the sequence.

Also throwing in a shoe in the same sequence, viewers need to look closely in order to spot the prank. In fact, Lucas never noticed the objects until he was told years later.
