10 Movie Fan Theories The Creators Completely Rejected

5. Jurassic World

The Theory: Jurassic World was a roaring success, and part of that success can be attributed to how much the film played on nostalgia; the raptors, the T-Rex, those park gates, that iconic score - they were all present and correct.

And, if this fan theory had its way, the nostalgia would have been stretched even further.

Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) was supposedly a brand-new character created for Jurassic World, but many fans speculated that we'd actually seen him in the very first movie.

Jurassic Park Kid

That's the kid who Alan Grant terrorizes with a raptor claw near the beginning of Jurassic Park. This did make some sense - the ages seem to line up, and the kid is very clearly interested in dinosaurs - but nobody knew for sure whether or not this was true.

The Rejection: Well, until Chris Pratt himself came along and debunked it, that is. Spoil-sport.

Huffington Post interviewed Pratt earlier this year and asked him about the theory, to which the star responded “I have heard about that... I don’t see it as being true.”

He continued “it’s sweet though. And I love that kid, and I love the idea of that possibility, but I do officially say, as the bastion of Owen’s backstory, but not the creator of the character, that’s not true.”

Theory. Murdered.
